Arlene J. Kimble
Arlene J. Kimble, 85, of DeWitt, passed away June 28, 2017. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Inurnment will be at the Abraham Lincoln Veteran Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be left to the Clinton County Humane Society.

Arlene was born June 28, 1932, in Joliet, Illinois, to Jesse and Vanira Allen Lewis. Upon birth, Arlene joined brothers Kenneth and Clayton.

Arlene was united in marriage to Phillip Filides in 1952. They had two children, Phillip and Diane. He preceeded her in death in 1956.

Arlene was united in marriage to Ray Kimble in 1959. They had two children, Kim and Karen. He preceded her in death in 2013.

Arlene enjoyed many summers at the family's cabin on Rainy Lake in Northern Minnesota's Voyagers National Park. She was an avid walleye fisherman who enjoyed cabin life while viewing the Northern Lights at night.

Arlene was an avid gardener; she would spend hours in her vegetable garden, and landscaping around the house. Arlene was known as the Tomato-eating Queen. Arlene was a true animal and nature lover. She especially loved her cat Mike.

Survivors include her four children, Phillip (Cynthia) Filides, Diane (Kurt) Hartman, Kim Miller, and Karen Powell; six grandsons; three granddaughters; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; and husbands, Phillip Filides and Ray Kimble.
