He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Leroy, and sister Lois (Wilbert) Schroeder.

Visitation was held Monday, July 10, at Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt. A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt. Burial and military rites followed in the church cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of Schultz Funeral Homes.
