Surviving are five children, Nola Esmoil of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Darry (Della) Griebel of Fort Myers, Florida, Jim (Kathy) Griebel of Bluffton, South Carolina, David (Linda) Griebel of Tucson, Arizona, and LaRita (John) Kuykendall of Nashville, Tennessee; and 14 grandchildren, LaVonne (Eric) Bluhm, Angela Esmoil, Beth (Steve) Tarnish, Dean (Teresa) Griebel, Wes (Denise) Griebel, Jill (Tomas) Santandreu, Dan (Beth) Griebel, Carrie (Shawn) Harris, Emily (Mike) Peklo, Garnet (Ken) Booth, Grant Griebel, James (Caroline) Kuykendall, Audra (Aaron) Rosenbury and John (April) Kuykendall. Doris had 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Mildred Snyder and Marie Will.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Schultz Funeral Home, 722 Eighth St., DeWitt, from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. A service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wheatland.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Dean Griebel, Wes Griebel, Dan Griebel, James Kuykendall, Grant Griebel, and John Kuykendall Jr.

The family extends their special thanks to Wheatland Manor, Maggie's House, and Dr. Steven Fowler for the wonderful care provided to Doris over the years.
