Alfred B. Kittleson
Alfred B. Kittleson, 77, of Delmar died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 4, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Welton, with the Rev. Paul Connolly officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt, at a later date.

Al was born Nov. 21, 1935, in Mason City to Clarence and Clara Elstad Kittleson. He graduated from Mason City High School. Al was a member of Local 2158 in Moline, Ill., for over 35 years, working as a carpenter and millwright.

He married Mary Kaszinski Haack July 18, 1983, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Welton.

Al was a member of St. Anne Church and was a firefighter with the Welton Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed wintering in Texas, fishing, playing cards, camping, traveling and spending time on his acreage.

Surviving are his wife; children, Andrea (Paul) Raiford of Texas, Michelle (David) Weets of North Carolina, Cary Curtis of Davenport, Terri (Fred) Castle of Charles City, and Larry Haack of New York; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly (Don) Sturges of Florida, Margaret Grell of Northwood and Marilyn ("Bud") Kittleson of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Al in death were his parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Memorials are suggested to Camp Courageous or Genesis Hospice.
