The Northeast School Board will meet Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the elementary school library in Goose Lake.
A school improvement advisory committee meeting will be at 5 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 6 p.m.
Items on the regular agenda include:
Consent agenda, including financial reports and open enrollment requests.
Reports from elementary, middle and high school principals and superintendent, including certified enrollment, snow removal and Iowa Association of School Boards.
Consider contract with Iowa Direct for $10,453 for painting and purchase of a fume hood.
Approve payments to vendors for construction project.
Consider approval of second reading of policies on use of motor vehicles, compensation for extra duty, employee vacation/holidays/personal leave, employee compensation, graduation requirements, student special health services, budget planning, treasurer's annual report, student transportation for extra-curricular activities, summer school program transportation service, transportation of non-resident and non-public school students, facilities inspections and asbestos containing material.
Consider approval of 2014-15 district salaries.
Resignations and hirings.
Consider approval of Northeast FBLA Chapter overnight attendance at National Fall Leadership Conference in Minneapolis, Minn., Nov. 14-16.
Consider approval of 2014-15 fee schedule for use of school facilities.
Consider approval of application to the school budget review committee for additional allowable growth of $450,000.
Consider agreement with JMC Computer Services for school messaging program for weather announcements.
Consider installation of temperature monitoring device in walk-in cooler and freezer at the high school by Northwest Mechanical for $3,178.
Closed session to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered and that individual requests a closed hearing, followed by any action resulting from closed session.
